Troyer - Amazing Customer Service
Late Friday I recieved my Excalibrator, so yesterday morning, I installed it. I was so intent on following the instructions, and having everything in the truck off, that I mad a boneheaded move, and forgot to turn off the ignition and remove the key when I hooked the tuner up to the OBD port. Well, I panicked when I noticed this, but it was too late as I had already started the programing process.
I immediately called Troyer, and left a message on their Tech line while the tuner was working. After the tuner finished, I turned the ignition on with trepidation, and the truck started! I drove it over to Hot Springs (about 50 miles) to Oaklawn Park, and the truck ran great, being much more responsive.
To my surprise, Mike called about an hour later. He had checked the messages at his office even though they were closed, and had heard mine. I think he was relieved that my truck was running too! MIke spent at least half an hour on the phone with me, explaining how our trucks worked, and the various tuning options. I was so impressed with Mike's knowledge, that I decided to order an intake system which should be here next week.
I just wanted to publicly acknowledge Troyer's great customer service. It is apparent Mike loves what he does, and it shows through in dealing with his customers.
