Superchips 1715

Is anyone running the Superchips 1715 on 87octane, with an intake and exhaust? Superchips Rep said I would need to run 91 octane only on my 2001 5.4L with intake and exhaust mod. Any help out there would be great.

R1968.

I don't know who would have told you that, but it sounds like somebody misunderstood something, as that's simply not accurate information. Many people run that problem with an open intake & exhaust, that is extremely basic.

You can use the 87 octane program in the 1715 with any good quality air intake kit or cat-back exhaust system - you can use *any* of the programs in the 1715 with a good air intake system or cat-back exhaust system.

If you'd like to go veer this in more detail, get correct information, etc., please feel free to give us a call at our number listed below.

Good luck!

Ranchero1968,

Ditto as Mike said...I am currently running the 87 octane option on my 1715 with an AF1 FIPK, Magnaflow CAT Back, and JBA headers...no problems--ever.
