Post Anybody running the Diablo chip in a non-Lightning truck?

I like the fact that the Diablo sits all the way down in the ECU, at least that's what I understand. If anyone out there have it, how does it work for you? I like the Superchip flip chip for dual program mode but I just don't like something that looks kind of kludged hanging out like that, held down with tape (that's one of the methods for retention I've heard).

lrutt,
Yeah, the DiabloSport chip is really cool how it installs into the computer. No more fussing...fits like factory. I know they have a very impressive chip for the Powerstroke and Lightnings. Matter of fact, most of the message boards (trucks, focus, mustang, etc...) I have seen have been very positive for the DiabloSport chip. Also, from what I understand, they have just figured out how to correct the speedo for those that have changed their tire size or gear ratio in the 2001 models. None of the "other" chip guys have been able to do this.
I believe you're pretty close to their largest distributor. Why don't you go by there and check it out. If you do, be sure to let us know how you made out.

Fastsvtss or someone, can you pop in their website here. I'd like to go browse around a little.

Jstang, when was it you ran the Diablo chip? long ago or recently?

Thanks

I ran it this spring, and I really didn't belive there would be a difference between Diablo and Superchips, I asked several questions from both, and the Diablo was cheaper. So I got it, then I went round and round with Mike Troyer(he said superchips is better), and I had him put his money where his mouth was. Just because you say its better, doesn't mean squat, prove it.....how? Why? I desided to try it, and if it wasn't ,I certianly would have made it known,.....well known. However I was surprized, the tranny shifts are much better, I had to eat crow sort of. He took on the challenge, and I reported back to everyone here what I honestly felt of both.

I,ve got a 99' f-150 with the 4.6 liter, and I have a Diablo Chip. Mine is totally worthless. Not sure if it is becouse they had to do a Jump Over on my computer (which takes in sodering wires to your comp.) or if I just got a bad chip. Stick with superchip I hear its the better of the two from what ive read and heard. Hope this is helpfull for you.
