MIke? 9100 vs. 1715

Mike, I drive a f-150 5.4 2000 flareside and was wondering what is the difference between these two programmers? I've heard people say that one could be more powerful that the other. I would also like to get some more information on the "custom" programs that you can get made for your truck. I'm just really a casual driver but have 285/70/17 tires and would like to balance them out with some more power. I would also like to have more power in general, especially in acceleration.
Thanks for the help,

Also, could you compare the superchips to the Hypertech programmer. What makes the superchip better?

Hi F-150Flare,

We've gone over this many, many times here already, my friend - it's the exact same basic information that everyone who comes here always wants to know - as you can imagine, it's been discussed literally countless times already.

So instead of me typing it all out all over again every time someone asks the same thing, we refer you to use the SEARCH feature that is provided here for that very purpose - so that anyone can instantly access any post on any topic that has ever been discussed here on the boards. Use the SEARCH feature's excellent search filters to instantly retrieve & read any of the many previous posts of ours on this topic, & you'll see *plenty* of information. The icon to access the SEARCH feature is in the upper right portion of your screen here.

You can also feel free to give us a call at our number listed below to go over this in more detail & we'll be happy to.

Happy reading!

It's no trouble at all!

I'll explain a bit.............

It's just that the majority of things that get discussed here tend to be repeated many, many times because that is the nature of the beast, so to speak - meaning that people are constantly joining us here every day, and virtually all of them want to know the same things - like "what's the best," or "compare to this," etc. So any time someone asks anything that we consider to be among "the basics" here, or that has already been discussed in detail, or has been discussed many times, etc., we refer them to make use of the SEARCH feature instead of me typing out the same info for the 1000th time - you get my point, I'm sure.

So for all the commonly asked questions, we refer people to use the SEARCH feature here as virtually anything related to the topic of this section has already been asked & answered many, many times - so that's what it's all about, & thanks for your understanding on that.

In the final analysis it's a matter of sheer experience, knowledge & R&D - and we've done more performance tuning R&D on the computer-controlled F-150 platform than anyone else (well, aside from Ford of course!) having done that for 12 years. It all gets down to specializing in the F-150 platform - because of all the different PCM revisions each model year in this platform, the only way to really be a world-class F-150 tuner is to *specialize* in tuning them, something we have been doing for longer than anyone else. The F-150 platform vehicles (F-150 in all models, F-250 Light Duty and the Expedition) require more tuning R&D to get a consistent result from one vehicle to the next - something that we're well known for, as you can quickly see by spending some time reading the threads in this section.

Well, once again I've rambled on about info that's been posted many times, & I'm starting to sound like a sales pitch again................

Please feel free to use the SEARCH feature to look up any of our many previous posts on this topic, and of course, don't hesitate to give us a call if you'd like to discuss this in proper detail, OK? Thanks!

Mike,
Thank you very much for your time, I did the search feature and got the info that I was looking for. I really appreciate the way that you handle your potential customers, F-150 online members, and fellow truck drivers, and just the way you do business. If I ever need any more perfomance upgrades you can rest assured that my business will come to you, thanks again for your time.
