I Like Mike

mike-
why should i buy a superchip over any other chip brands? Why is it better in your oppinion to buy a superchip over your competetors such as diablo, hypertech, predator and whatever others there are?

do they all end up with the same results since they do the same thing?

please dont take this in a rude tone where as i am trying to find out why superchips is the best in your oppinion. you dont ever hear much about those other brands on this site and i was wondering if you knew pros and cons to the others. thanks, lee

I think what you are going to hear is that most chips and tuners are very similar and can accomplish the same thing.

The secret is with the person burning the chip and how much knowledge and experience they bring in writing the programs that are contained on the chips or tuners.

Troyer Performance specializes in our big trucks and does lots of R&D in this regard.

Hi Lee,

What gerlofs said is exactly right - which hardware is used to get the program to the PCM doesn't matter, what matters is the actual *tuning* - always. Put another way (just to inject a little humor), the PCM doesn't care who's hardware is used to deliver it's new programming, the PCM couldn't care less.

It's the actual skill, knowledge & experience of the *tuner* that matters, & we've specialized in improving the performance & tuning of the F-150 platform for 12 years.

Lee - This is something that has been gone over here many, many times, it's the exact same basic information that every single person who comes here wants to know "what's the best" - everyone wants to know the exact same thing. So................. instead of me sitting here typing out some "I'm-better-than-everyone-else" diatribe, I suggest you just spend some time reading the wealth of information that is already posted here from the very people using the products on their own vehicles.

Anything anyone could ever want to know has already been discussed here literally countless times, so take advantage of that. You've been here for a few months now, so you know how it works - just read thru the relevant threads in this section, there's tons of them. OR, better yet - any time you want to know *anything*, the first thing to do is always to make use of the excellent SEARCH feature that is provided here for that exact purpose - to immediately locate & retrieve posts on any topic.

If you want to read about what hardware we use, you can follow this link and read up in detail on our Part# 6600 & 9100 - those are our multi-program custom chip and multi-program custom Micro Tuner, respectively. Either one of those loaded with our custom tuning is what's going to get the best actual result. There are other "standard" tuning products listed at this link as well, but it's our *custom* tuning (even for bone-stock vehicles) that is always going to get the absolute higher safe & sustainable torque, horsepower & performance gains. Here's the link: http://www.troyerperformance.com/cgi...chips%3BFoMoCo

If you'd like to go over any of this in proper detail, discuss which type of tuning product to use (flashers versus chips), etc., give us a call at our number listed below & we'll be happy to go over with you just exactly what we can do for your truck.

Happy reading!

Mikes tunes are excelant and more important than that or the price, which is also excelant Is the customer satisfaction is second to no one. period. If you have a problem he is there any time to take care of it. And Anita is always at the phone to help you or find Mike for you. in this day of the Wall Mart mentality It's great to have someone as one on one with you through the tuning process. Not only are you bying a somewhat pricey piece of equipment and tecknoledgy . but you are Installing it in a pricey truck, I shure want it right, and believe me mike will make it right. I just wish he had every thing that I wanted for my truck, it would be one stop shopping.
A happy loyal customer

I picked up a 9100 from Mike a couple of months ago...and all I can say is WOW . I run the tow program in city driving because it helps with the tranny shifting in the stop and go driving. Yet when up on the highway it will hold it's own and I,ve already had it at 110 in the tow program. Yeah I know it only goes to 100 but when it stopped climbing on the speedo it did,nt with the accelleration. When I have to long distance highway I tune it to the (enhanced) stock program and it gets 22MPH off the 4.6 and still runs the mid grade. As far as the performance program?? Welllll I hav,nt run that one yet. :o But when I do I am assured Mike tuned that to perfection.
