I'm curious if it is possible to tell if a chip has been flashed without hooking up any diagnostics or taking it to the dealership? I have a 2001 F150 with a 5.4L . The milage right now runs at about 16MPG without getting on the gas hard. I use cruise control all the way to work and from, 30 miles one way. I know this is kinda vague but is there a way? If i have to take it to the dealership, what should i expect to pay to have this checked and if needed reflashed to the OEM settings?
