Hi SC,

Everyone that comes here wants to know the same basic information, so as you can imagine, it's all been asked & answered hundreds, if not literally thousands of times before here. All you need to do is simply read some of the posts here in this section - you should also try using the SEARCH feature to immediately retrieve & read posts on any specific topic (like chips in the older 5.0 F-150's, for example), as all the info you could possibly want to know is already posted here and can be retrieved very quickly using the SEARCH feature. The icon to access it is in the upper right portion of your screen here.

Most F-150 owners come to us for their tuning, as we've specialized in performance tuning of the F-150 platform longer than anyone else. We can provide you with either a single program custom-tuned chip or a multi-program style custom-tuned chip - whatever fits your needs, modifications, types of vehicle usage, etc.

Assuming a healthy engine with normal compression & good ignition, etc., we'll normally see 20+ HP gains on those 5.0's from a good performance tune, and nice improvements on the 0-60 and 1.4 mile times, as well as more power for towing, etc. The top speed limiter will be removed as well.

To go over what can be done for your particular 1990 5.0 F-150 in proper detail, please feel free to give us a call at our number listed below when you get a chance, & we'll be happy to go over all of that with you.

You can also take a look at our web site for basic info on chips for your truck - here's the link to our tuning products, and you'll want to make sure to read up specifically on our Part#'s 5500 & 6600 (those are our single & multi-program custom chips, respectively): http://www.troyerperformance.com/cgi...chips%3BFoMoCo

I hope that brief info helps, & best of luck whatever you decide!
