Post Post Superchip installation report

I'm happy to report that my chip installation went just fine. I had some issues with that damn plastic clip that holds the CPU, but other than that it went great. Gas mileage has improved, except on those tanks where I have spun it up out running some stinker. I did have to balance the driveshaft and tires and rims though. Anything above 120 and she started shakin'. Note: I'm guessing at the speed. Anyone got a 140+ mph speedo for my Harly truck for sale?

Hi J&J,

Glad to hear you're enjoying your Superchip!

How far off was your driveshaft balance, & how much did it cost to have it correctly re-balanced, if you don't mind sharing that information? I ask simply because this has been a pet peeve of mine for some time now with a number of automakers. Seems that too many automakers aren't worrying about higher-speed driveshaft balance in their trucks & SUVs, as they don't figure we're going to drive them at those speeds.

If you're talking about that black pressure clip that holds the computer against it's mounting bracket, that has to go back on about 2 inches lower than the factory location when you install the Superchip, that seems to work pretty well.

Thanks for your post & best of luck!
