1714 installed tonight...
I received my 1714 programmer today. I decided to go with the 87 octabe program because I currently have a half tank of 87. I will probably go with the 91 performance program as soon as I need gas. I've posted other posts regarding 35" tires on the new 04 4x4. I'm very happy with the truck so far. The truck handles the 35" tires with no problem. I will post the performance updates soon.
Hi Rich,
That's a pretty truck you have there - some darned aggressive tires you have there, too - quite the tread pattern, it's visible from the side of the truck in that photo, so that's gotta be some aggressive tread there. What tires do you have on there specifically? (just wondering, my wife saw your truck & loves the wheels..............)
The 87 octane program does help to improve power a bit, you should especially notice an improvement in the light-throttle response particularly - I'm very happy about our results there.
Some people can tolerate 35" tires on stock gearing (I know you've done that on your last couple of trucks) - I'm not one of them, of course - with 35's, we always recommend going at least 4.56 on the gearing as otherwise, the engine can't turn enough rpms to be up in it's power band most of the time. All that *really* matters is what each individual vehicle owner feels like they can tolerate & enjoy, etc. - I'm glad to hear that's working for you.
Have fun,

Yeah, your wife told me you NOW want to stock wheels & tires. I told her I hope you have allot of room. LOL
The wheels are made by Weld. Here is a link to the exact wheel.

The tires are Toyo 35/1250/18 Open Country M/T.
It wasn't a cheap setup, but I LOVE the overall look. It turns allot of heads. I've had a couple Chevy owners say their now thinking about the new 04 F-150.
Thanks again and keep up the awesome work!!
