Post Filp chip switch mount idea

I put mine inside the glove box, on top where the wires go through for the light. There is a cut-out there just big enough for the switch, with not cutting or drilling.

Hi Jstang

That seems to be good.

I just did it easy, under glove box, hole already there. But.....

Problem is, cant reach it from drivers side.
So, gonna add wire and get switch somewhere near steering wheel(dash)area.

Ok, tks. for info. Have a good one. OT

Thumbs up

Good idea! I just install my gibson exhaust and the flip-chip. I just taped the switch to the side of the glove box until I had more time to find a permanent location. I'll check your suggestion. Boy did I really see a difference with the chip. I know I did the exhaust and the chip simultaneously but I imagine the majority of the performance is the chip. Thanks Mike T.

I put mine on the bracket for the air suspension switch (Expedition). There is a perfect hole there.

Hi everyone!

Excellent tip, jstang!

There have been about as many different ideas for mounting locations as there have been people installing the Flip Chip. Some guys will extend the lead, and mount it in the ashtray (stealth), or in a custom overhead console, etc., you name it, people find a place for it.

We love to see these tips for switch location in these vehicles, especially when it's a really neat place that involves no drilling or cutting as in the case with this tip from jstang. Perhaps we'll try to compile a list of neat & easy mounting locations submitted by you, the guys who spend the time installing them in your own vehicles, and include that info along with our additional Performance Products documentation for future Flip Chip installers..............
