Unhappy First Defeat!

Well it had to happen...It was inevetable,
You know it's like life..you are feeling pretty good sometimes then BAM, there is always going to be that someone to bring you down, Yes "down down to chinatown"

Well here's the sorid details of my utter defeat!
Traveling up HWY 49 towards Auburn CA.
Once again crusing along "just minding my own business", at a, shall I say comfortable pace. ( or shall I qoute Sammy Hagar, "I Cant Drive 55" ...get it? (Nodrive55??).

when all of a sudden the destroyer of speed and forward progress...approached silently from my behind. I barley got a glimpse of the evil slayer, when al of a sudden and without warning, I was overtaken. Damm I thought.. where did he come from??
From the burning pits of "Mod's" Hell I thought.
So I had a choice! What would YOU do?
Accelerate with a rapidness of pace, to attempt to overtake this villain? :mad
Or simply accept this defeat like many a dog has done, acknowledging when your day has come...Put your tail between your legs...and scurry on home?

Well I choose the Latter!

In fact we both even puled over to discuss the issue at hand.
He remarked on the beauty of my truck. He noticed the slight rumble of my new Borla cat-back. Damm, if he even noticed the sound (as he passed) of my Air-Raid. As he walked back and forth, he commented on my own ROUSH, decal package, as he was familiar with the racing guru.

So impressed he was with my set-up, that we made an appointment to meet on a later date, to this I promptly agreed. And how could I not, since I was at his mercy, his boy... as it were. To think I could even challange such a warrior, and think to get away without consequences. what a fool I was.

So I let you know the outcome of our meeting.
PS: it's in two weeks, at the Auburn/Placer Municipal Courthouse...Traffic division!!!

I should of known it was an omen of bad things to come, when I left the house this morning, and NOT dipping into the "holy synthethic oil" and offering a gift to the HP alter....
Like I said...what a fool I was!

No Fiddy-Five....
You should have known better (I think you do, but you just got into the zone) about Hwy 49. It's a favorite "duck pond" of California's finest.

In response to your ever poetic rants...
Thou may rise again to vanquish the horrid demon which eternally fights against all that is prone to flights of speed. If it be within thou's soul (and dayplanner), thou may choose to battle the harvestor of speeders upon the holy path of acceleration (Sacramento Raceway) in a duel to the 1/4 mile (yes they have race the cops night) .

Anyway, been a scientist too long, can't quite flow as nicely as you. Bummer about the ticket  Hopefully you can go to traffic school to get it taken off. Have a good "Good Friday" and Easter!

Hey NoDrive55,

You & Sammy Hagar, eh?

Watch out, you're starting to live up to Sammy's exploits, too, & that'll cost you dearly, which is what that song was all about of course.

Good luck with the ticket,

What's more powerful, Good Friday or Friday the 13th? I think you found out, my son.

Now say ten "Yes Officers" and make a donation to the Policemen's Ball.

EXCURS10N.... I wouldn't mind a damm ticket for doing say 80-99mph...because...well I deserve it!
but geez, 58mph on a 20 degree incline, passsing a slow pokey??

Ragman:
Yes Officer...x10, and who again shall I make that check to??

5150PhD: Da Zone....
And, um...well went to trafic school 4 months ago, for same? (that was before any Mod's)?

Maybe I can challenge this one?

Maybe they will have mercy on me because that "damm" chip Mike sold me screwed up my speedo? (how about it Mike? could I get a letterhead stating to the above FACT?

Maybe I can claim mental defect bacause of the mind altering effects of this site? Once again, "damm you Neal"

Maybe I will run and slap the 258/45/18's on,
Like I really want.

actually the 285/65/18's are the one's that wont increase tire size. But the 245's look better, Yet will screw with the speedo)

Yes...Yes now's its comming to me, I get the wheels and tires, the smaller ones, then tell them about the "Chip"? Perhaps throw in some speal about our new found religion...Nealism".

Any suggestions?? has ANYone ever beat a speeding ticket??
should I get a lawyer??
Or perhaps a Shrink to help me with my "problem"

MIKE:
Here's some words caution for motorists by the Red Rocker himself....

"When they get you over 100 mph, that's bad,''. ``When you get stopped in that speed range, the fine is huge and the courts have lots of options on how to prosecute you. It also destroys your insurance. It's tough, man. But I can't stop myself." "He also insists this is not a prudent way to live."

PS: He's received 46 speeding tickets to my 4.

LATE......

I leave with words to ponder:

"One foot on the brake and one on the gas, hey!
Well, there's too much traffic, I can't pass, no!
So I tried my best illegal move
Well, baby, black and white come and touched my groove again!"

Hi NoDrive55,

Yeah, I know, Sammy's had a *bunch* of tickets, I don't think you're in any danger of getting that number of tickets. The fastest he got his Ferarri up to on public roads was 185 mph (with his wife on board, no less). He's got a lot of funny stories. First saw him in concert in '78 or '79, when he opened up for Boston in Greensboro, NC.

Sounds to me like you're best bet is going with the "Nealism" defense.

Actually, I'm wondering how far over the limit you were driving at 58 mph? Is it one of those stupid 3 mph over in a 55 zone deals? Please tell me they're not that ticket-happy out there!

Best of luck,
