Another question for Mike T.
Hey Mike, I have been reading on this site about the superchip and reading alot of posts by you and thought I would post a question.
First I have a 2001 Supercrew F150 and it has the 5.4 engine.
I looked at the sticker and it says SVB1 does this sound like the right code for the computer?
Second where is the actual computer located on these trucks? I read about having to remove the battery Would this have to be done? On my truck the battery is on the passenger side.
Also have you had any superchips put into the new supercrew and if so how have the customers liked them?
One more question.
I was looking at the online ordering system and noticed under shipping it had UPS ground, UPS RED and UPS Blue. What is the difference between these. I am pretty impatient so if I do order a chip I would like to get it as soon as possible. If one of these methods is faster please let me know which one is faster so I can use that.
Sorry to ramble and I appreciate any response to my questions.
Thanks in advance
Paul

Hi Paul,
Yes, SVB1 is a valid code, so you've found it, and yes, we have that available.
The Super Crew is not exactly new (though yours may well be brand new to you, of course!), it's been around for a little over a year now, so many people are using the Superchip in the Super Crew. The Super Crew is not any different in that regard, it uses the same powertrains as the rest of the non-Lightning F-150's do, so it responds the same to the Superchip, and has all the same benefits from it's use.
UPS Ground is the slowest and hence the cheapest method of shipping by UPS. UPS Blue is a 2-working day delivery time, and UPS Red is overnight delivery during the week. UPS Ground gives you a delivery time of about 3 working days or so from where we are to you there in WY.
With regards to where the computer is, etc. all of that information is including with the Superchip, we write very careful documentation designed to take a first-time installer thru this with no surprises. Briefly, the computer is located on the passenger side of the vehicle, mostly in the cabin, to the right of the dash assembly and just above the passenger's kick panel. It's pretty easy to get to and work with.
