I ordered one on the 11th. I called Troyer and they advised they would call me when it would ship. As of today no phone call so it looks like it will be another day yet.

First - Anyone wanting to know about the status of any order that has **already been placed with us** must contact us off the boards (at our number listed below) for order status, as it is against the rules of F-150 Online for us to discuss matters such as order status here on the boards.

Now with regard to additional shipments of 1714's for those who have NOT yet ordered.............

Superchips is in the midst of doing all the updating from all the 2004 F-150 owners who found their vehicles had been reflashed when the first big shipments of 1714's went out - which is many of them, as it's a first year vehicle (as we have discussed here previously). That takes a little time, considering the dozens upon dozens of different PCM code updates in those reflashes...................................To say nothing of the CATEGORY 4 HURRICANE THAT JUST RIPPED THRU FLORIDA (where the manufacturer is, and where so many tens of thousands of people are still without POWER, shelter, water, clothes, work, food, etc).

Soooo..............I'd say we should probably give it AT LEAST a week to 10 days or so. That is NOT a FORMAL announcement or commitment, that is simply our best "guesstimate."

Superchips knows everyone wants them, and they're doing their dead level best to get them to us - they're simply up against a rotten set of circumstances beyond their (or anyone else's) control - where so many '04's have been reflashed recently, and then a major hurricane on top of that, which caused them to lose a few work days, etc.

Overall, knowing many of the people at Superchips personally as we do, I'd say they're darn near performing miracles under the present circumstances - which they don't like any better than you or I do!

Bottom line? Let's give em another week-10 days or so fellas, at least - and thanks for your patience!

Thanks for the update Mike. Sorry, I hadn't made the connection to the hurricane even though I knew Superchips was in Florida. Hope all those guys made it through the storm. My 1714 has been on order for a week or so and I am excited about it, but I can wait a while with no problem. Its just those darned Toyotas that keep challenging me......

I feel for the folks in Florida.

I ordered my 1714 yesterday, there will be no whining from me.

Hi Fellas,

Thanks for your concern for the people at Superchips - Overall, the gang fared pretty well all things considered - the main Superchips building had some damage, but they were operational in short time. Orlando fared better than those poor folks where the hurricane actually made landfall and people lost their lives. Most businesses in Orlando were back up & running in a few days.

Yeah, we all know how it is - we all want the 1714's, and we want 'em *now*. Especially when you read the 2004 owners who didn't need the update & how much they're enjoying them!

Latest word is they're trying to make a Friday timeframe (that's this coming Friday, the 27th) for shipping them out - now just as before, that is not a firm date - that is simply their current best guesstimate. So it won't be long, & we'll let everyone know when they actually ship. Looks like they'll be shipping out both to those who sent their units in for the reflash update, and then all the new units out to distributors & dealers at the same time, so it's quite an undertaking. We'll let everyone know as soon as we've confirmed shipment!
