Post Hey Mike T...

I ordered my chip today and then got to thinking about torque. Can the flip chip be programmed for more torque than just 46lbs? When we talked today I mentioned that I will be using the truck in truck pulls. In pulling, torque is more benficial than HP.

What are your thoughts?

Thanks,

Vic

Hi Vic,

No, we're alraedy getting every ounce of pwoer that can safely be made on pump premium gasoline, unfortunately it's not an unlimited source of torque.

The only way we can get more power from powertrain programming above what we're already doing, is to program for even higher octane, like 100 octane racing gas, etc. We can do that in the Flip Chip, set up one of the programs for use only on racing gas, but I personally wouldn't do that, as I would prefer to have that normal combination of a regular gas and a premium gas program in the Flip Chip, like you ordered.
