4.6=5.4
I have never seen a chip provide a 35 hp and 50-75 tq gain in any NA vehicle. Although with all the mods available, intake, chip and exhaust, and gears you may be into the same accleration times, however, the tourque numbers may still be shy, as the 5.4's cid, and stroke put it at a better advantage that bolt on's would be hard to make up for.

Hi Stayblown,
Well, for starters, it depends on what year 5.4 you're talking about... the 4.6 F-150 has always been rated at 220 hp (except for a few early 1997 4.6's, which were rated at 215 hp), while the 1997 & 1998 5.4 F-150's were rated at 235 hp, so yes, in that case, the Superchip would put you at least equal to them, and actually put you a bit ahead of a bone-stock 235-hp 5.4.
Howwever, the 1999 & newer 5.4 is rated at 260 hp, which is 40 hp more than your 4.6, and the Superchip won't gain that much more power. It's still your best bang-for-the-buck mod, but it can't add 40 horsepower.

I would have to say no.
though a chip will definitely make a difference, it will not make it as powerful as far as numbers go.
But as in any engine situation, numbers don't always tell the whole story. Peak HP and torque numbers are sometimes misleading.
because we cannot keep our engines constantly in their peak hp/tq rpms
what I am trying to say, is while you may not be able to match the power numbers of a stock 5.4, the truck with the best peak numbers is not always the truck that is the quickest.
Hopefully, some of the guys who have 4.6 and chips installed have some "real-world" data will see this, and report their findings to you.
