Thanks for the quick reply. I am going to do some mechanical mods and you're right "it's only money". Thing is I ain't got enough of it or I'd just buy a Lightning.

I think my first "mechanical" mod is going to be the 3.73LS gears.. cheaper than a charger.

Thanks!

Hi Mileaux,

No, there isn't, as we are limited in how far we can go by the fact that pump premiums are generally 92-93 octane. If we push it any further, we start to run into detonation, and of course you don't want that.

In other words, there is only so much we can do, the power gain comes from programming specifically for the use of premium gasoline. Without having even higher octane, we can't safely use more spark advance, etc.

In round numbers on these F-150's, about a 10% increase inpeak power is all you can expect, unless we can program for other mods or racing gas, etc.

We can always do a custom program for you and play around by pushing it further, but we don't recommend it as you just run into detonation pretty quickly.

You're at the point where in order to get more powewr, you're going to have to do more mechanical modifications, like headers, underdrive pulleys, etc., the list is almost endless, it's only money.

HI Mileaux,

If you'd like to, you could give us a call and we'll be happy to go over with you what would be the next few most logical steps to take in order of "bang-for-the-buck" for more power, if you'd be interested in that kind of input. You may well already know what you want to do of course, but if not, we're happy to give a few suggestions if you like, and give you a few sources, etc.

Good luck!
