Headers JBA
I have installed my headers after looking at them in the box for two weeks. Let me tell you it is not an easy Job. I dont think i would do it for my best friend, for myself yes but it was a all day job. And you should see my hands they look like hamburger. I went and bought some jack stands jacked the truck up and put them on the stands. I removed the wheels and the fender wells. removed the left manifold and installed the new JBA with gasket. Let me tell you some of the bolts in the new heeader are so hard to get too you have to be a Magician or double jointed or both. I mean it was really hard and time consuming to do. When you can only turn a bolt a 32nd at a time it really eats up time. Well finaly i finished the right side and started on the left same story here about three hours a side. Well after all said and done it is a bitch of a job but they are a thing of beauty looking in the fender wells. If you do this job do remove the fender wells cover everything you can with towels to protect your hands and plan on spending all day.And practice your four letter words, well no practice needed they will come out on their own. Well how about driving this thing??????? Well it has postive seat of pants of feel down low. It will now just spin the tires off the bottom without brake checking and just hitting the gas i thought i would need gears to get this thing to do that. Well i will do some runs with the G-Tech and see if there is any mesurable gains. I do have a smile on my face. Its just one hell of a job.

Hi ToDaBone,
Installing headers is never easy or fun, but it sure is nice to open the hood and look at them, and feel them when you hit the gas.
With the supercharger on your motor, you'll see more gain than a normally-aspirated engine would. The JBA's normally add about 17 hp at the flywheel on the 5.4 motor, and about 14 hp on the 4.6 motor in the F-150. I'd be willing to bet you'll see more of a gain than that in terms ofthe peak increase with your blower.
Fantastic, after all this time, the exhaust is finally fully opened up properly on that supercharged motor. It would have been fun to see what the dyno numbers were with all your mods and the factory exhaust like you were running for a while, and then the after numbers with the headers & cat-back exhaust, I'm sure it was like having a cork in a bottle, so to speak, until the exhaust changes were done to compliment the blower.
Have fun!
