missing computer code sticker
There should be a sticker on the computer but it might involve moving the bracket that hold the computer to be able to read it.

Hi Frizbeeee,
You can find this in a ocuple of places. THe easiest is to look under the hood, on the wiring harness that attaches to the front of the computer, and this is right behind the battery, the wiring harness looks like it dead-ends into the front of the firewall, but that is actually where it connects to the front of the computer. (The computer is mounted so the first inch or so will pass thru an opening in the firewall, so it can connect to it's wiring harness.) The wiring harness has a single 10mm bolt head dead-center, and on the end of this harness there is usually a sticker with 2-3 lines of writing on it, one of which will say "EEC-V",and then the code, which will always be 3 letters and 1 number. If you have the Offroad package, this area will be blocked until you remove the battery, and so you'll have to go to the computer in that case.
The other place to look is on the computer itself; the computer is inside the cabin, on the cabin side of the firewall from where you saw the wiring harness connector behind the battery, on the passenger side. It will be to the right of the dash assembly, and above the passenger's kick panel. The computer is about 1.5 inches tall, 6 inches wide, and 9 inches long, it looks like a galvanized aluminum box. OK, the computer will be held to it's mounting bracket by a black pressure clip, and you simply remove that black pressure clip, and then look on the back of the computer where the clip was covering up, and you will see another code sticker, 3 letters and 1 number. Now sometimes you can get lucky and the black clip won't be covering up the code sticker on the back of the computer, and you can see it just by looking at the back of the computer, but usually you have to remove the black clip.
And last, if all those stickers are gone, then you can pull the computer out, and it will have a big sticker on top of it, but you shouldn't have to go that far.
It'll take you all of about 1 minute to find the code if you have to pull off the black clip, it's very easy. If you run into any problems, just give us a shout here, our phone number is just below.
Good luck!
