Speedometer Recalibration??

I just installed 32 inch tires on the 2004 supercrew, and the dealer can't program my speedometer to be accurate. Is there any way I can recalibrate it aftermarket. I have already emailed Troyer, but they don't know the release date for the programmer yet. I don't care about the tuning as much as the speedo. The links for the other speedo calibration devices don't appear to be for the 04. Thanks

3 miles at 50, 4 at 60, 5 at 70, etc. Both of my GPSs told me so. Hey, at least I am keeping miles off of my truck

There is no other way currently - no Ford dealership can do that, the only thing they can do is enter a tire size offered by Ford on that vehicle in that model year - period. And if that doesn't match what you need, then you're SOL for a dealership service department doing that.

As we tell everyone who calls, the current estimated timeframe for the 1714 is sometime in late August - but what many people forget (or don't understand) is the nature of R&D. Any date is only a rough GUESS, and is never written in stone. There is no way to give anyone any firm date on when R&D is going to be completed on *anything* - that's the nature of R&D, it's done when it's done, not before or after, and there is no way to accurately predict when R&D is going to be complete in the future. Well, until time travel becomes possible, that is. (Obviously I'm kidding here with you a bit! )

We can tune the 2004 F-150's right now - and do speedometer corrections for gear ratio changes, tire size changes, etc. - nobody has to wait for that, we've been doing that for months & months. Only those who don't want to overnight their PCM in and have it overnighted back are going to have a wait on a speedo recalibration.
