Post SuperCrew Vs Chevy 454 and S10

I had the opertunity to race my brothers 2000 454 Chevy. The first run was at about 65 mph we were on the interstate side by side i waited to watch for a sign he was into it and he got a slight jump on me. It didnt take long before my 5.4 came to life and we were even and it just pulled away until we were at about 90 or so and i was several lenghts ahead and we both backed out of it. The next race we came out of the hole on a back road and it was not even close i pullled away alway thru first and 2nd at at around 90 i got out of it,I was so far ahead i felt bad for him. he also has 3.73 gears to my 3.55.


Last week i raced a friends Chevy S10 SS he thought it was fast but no match for this big heavy Screw. We did three runs from the hole and ran to about 60 or so. He would stay about even to about 25mph and then the Screw would just pull away. I beat him handily all three times. He had several performance mods done to the truck.

ToDaBone,

The seventh line in your sig explains why you toasted the 454. If I had not seen it
I was just about ready to kick myself for not being fast enough to beat a 4x4 Screw.

Nah, JMC was right, it's the boost indicated on the gauge that "killed" the 454.

Hey ToDaBone,

You need to update your signature line now that you've done your exhaust system! Or are you waiting for the headers to go on first?

Your list of mods keeps growing, no wonder that heavy Super Crew is flying!
