Mike, I'm purchasing a used Superchip for my '97 F-250. It is for the same computer code. I suspect the chip is a year or two old. Have there been any improvments made recently? I'm hoping it is just as good as a new one. Thanks. Dave C.

Mike the code is ADX3. I don't know if that helps. I don't think the original owner requested any mods. I hope gear ratio doesn't matter. I don't want the speedo inaccurate. I have no way of knowing that until I know what computer code it is for, and what file is actually inside that particular Superchip.

In most cases, once the R&D is done, that's it. However, there are some cases in which a particular function may not yet be found, for example say, at the very beginning of a model year sometimes the top speed limiter is not yet found, and in those cases, we make that a free update to our customers when that function is taken care of. It's not often, but it can happen, of course.
