Wink I'm Disappointed Mike T.

Mike,

I'm disappointed you didn't send a spare set of rear tires with that R9 chip. LOL. How about that ping and harsh part throttle shifting that some of those other chips are offering (is that an upgrade).LOL.

Seriously, this chip is worth the price of admission for the transmission tuning alone.
When cruising you can hardly tell a difference but 1/3 pedal or more and it really firms up but not overly harsh. It's like a variable shift kit.

I when out on a country backroad and thrashed it several times (like a 1/4 mile run). It had already picked up throttle response from the Splitfires (shredding the tires from a stop) but now it tears them loose again at 2 grand after letting them hook back up. I can't wait to go to the track. I ran it up to 110 mph with no ping.

I definitely see what you mean about the lip on that bracket. I bent it straight so it wouldn't push against the chip. Two 1/2" wide strips of duct tape to hold it won't hurt either.

Another satisfied customer. Thanks Mike.

Hi Bolt,

Glad to hear it!

The R9 chip for these Lightnings really wakes that vehicle up, and gives you the kind of performance from that Lightning that it should have had all along, especially the transmission shift characteristics.

Actually, I guess we could start offering a bundle with a new set of back tires, but then it would be a bazillion-dollar Superchip with those expensive F1's you Lightning owners get from the factory.

Thanks for your post, & have fun!

How about a free rear set every six months for as long as you own the vehicle. Any one who wore them out before the time alotted would be on their own,LOL I know what you mean LTNBOLT,, The Yokahamas I bought for my truck are only one size over stock, and
were still $162 a piece.... I do believe I was ripped off a little. I've seen them in magazine ads for $30 less per tire,Whew!

Hi Screamer,

We usually buy our tires from the Tire Rack, they advertise every month in most automotive magazines, and they are extremely knowledgeable and have excellent pricing.
