Post Thanks to everyone...

First post here, I've been reading like mad since the purchase of the 2K 150 last Thursday. Great site.

Used my new found knowledge to order up the big 3 mods, hopefully the Superchip will be here tomorrow (ordered it Sat. from this site, UPS Red), the SuperTruck and K&N Wednesday. Thanks for all the info, saved me a lot of time and probably more money

Small world, ran into Dirt Bike Dave over here, he's also a member of my board... http://dirtrider.net/forums .

Again, glad to be here, thanks for the site!

Welcome aboard, Okie! You will love the Superchip.

For you off road riders out there, DRN is an excellent site. I will give it the highest compliment I can, and say that it is the F150online of dirtbiking. Spread the word.

I agree with Dirt Bike Dave, DRN is a great site. Since it's not in my signature, my ride is a '00 YZ250

Hi Okie DRN,

Welcome to F-150 Online! We're delighted you decided to join the rest of us here, it's a great site.

We're particularly glad that you found it in time to take advantage of the knowledge here on which aftermarket parts work, etc., it's always nice to be able to avoid the "pay to learn syndrome". Looks like you decided to do all of the top 3 best "bang-for-the-buck" mods at once, that's going to wake that truck up very nicely!

Best of luck with your truck,

Thanks for the DRN props!

Mike.
Ordered the chip Saturday, (red delivery) came in today... great!

Got it installed in 20 minutes (had to remove the battery, I have the ORP; still, didn't get my hands dirty

Immediatley, I noticed improved shifting, sure is nice, shifts like a truck (or any car for that matter) should.

Also noticed improved idle, revs better, pulls harder. I was expecting some improvement, but must say I'm surprised at how much there is. Best 200 I've spend on any mod.

The truck has less than 400 miles on it, I'm assuming it'll get better with some more miles.

Thanks for the great service and all the time you take here to provide the info.

Okie

Hi Okie DRN,

Great, we're glad to hear it. Your experience is exactly why the Superchip is the best bang-for-the-buck mod, but then of course I would say that.

Sounds like you got it installed very quickly, 20 minutes is excellent time, especially having to remove the battery.

With only 400 miles on the vehicle, yes, you should feel it get a bit stronger as you accumulate the first 4000 - 8000 miles, as it takes that long for new engines to fully loosen up and get their best gas mileage as well.

Have fun,
