Post New Chip Installed

Got my new Superchip yesterday and got it installed last night. I know its been said many times before,"Good bang for the buck!" Mike Troyer was extremely professional and easy to deal with! I have been playing with mustangs for the past 12 years and I don't remember this much difference with them. I can't wait to add the blower now. The exhaust will be this Friday. I will keep you posted.

Hi Clay,

Ahh, I see you have picked up a case of the dreaded "LEADFOOT".

Good post, & thanks for letting us all know you're happy.

Just so you'll know, these trucks are tuned a bit more conservatively than the Mustangs are in some models, and that could very well be why you're feeling more of a difference from the Superchip in this vehicle, that's pretty common. For example these trucks are tuned to be able to run on 85 octane from the factory, while Mustang 5.0's were tuned for premium from the factory. So while we got good gains on the Mustangs, it was a bit less in terms of the actual percentage of increase, just because the factory tuning was a bit more aggressive in the V-8 Mustangs.

So you're going for a blower too? That's going to be a bad truck!
