Hi H20-GUY,
No, you'll be just fine using that with the Superchip, as Flats Man mentioned.
Good luck, and let us know how you like it!

4-D low,
There are several pictures of my truck over on the Texas Heat Wave threads. It is the white truck with blue Cobra stripes.
Hi Mike,
I put the chip in today and I don't need no stinking Dyno to know it woke up the Magnacharger. I have the big 275/60/17's and it smoked them from about 5 mph. First time I have been able to break them loose on dry pavement! Thanks again for a job well done.

Hi Flats Man,
Glad to hear it, and that's an excellent example of why Magnuson uses us for those custom programs!
Supercharger manufacturers for the most part know their business, but not much about powertrain programming, so most of them come to us to make custom programs for their blower kits. Magnuson is a great company, they are the sales & service rep to end users of Eaton superchargers in the US. We got to know them years ago when the Thunderbird Super Coupe was being made, which of course used an Eaton blower as well (I ran 17 psi boost in my SC on pump premium for 70,000 miles!), so we've been working with them for a long time now.
Have fun with your new program!

Hi Flats,
No doubt, you supercharged rascal!
Seems like this summer more people are installing blowers than ever around here, and my poor Mark sits here without, still..... It's always something!

Mike, I saw your times in the 1/4 and as you said they were not that far from a Lightning, so right now you have absolutely nothing to fear from my little STX {which is no longer a STX}. I will be trying to set a dyno appointment for next week and will post the numbers. I am also going to run the 1/4 just to get a time so I know where I stand, if you know what I mean.
I have also noticed the number of blowers on this site and it is amazing! It does make the F150 a completely different animal. Thanks for all your support and the support of those on this site because with out it I would have a lot more money in the bank!

If your looking for any power gains don't waste your time with the Jacobs ignition. The Accel 300+ is the ticket for added power. I have had both on my Impala and the Jacobs didn't do anything for the car while the Accel added some actual HP. If your looking for better mileage the Jacobs might do ok, plus your plugs will last longer.
Also the Accel 300+ is less $$$$$$

Hi Flats,
Great post, very funny, thanks!
It will be very interesting to see what kind of power that beast is making now, we'll be looking forward to that post, too.
In all honesty I do have to point out that it was my trap speed that was good, not my ET. The slowest Lightning there, a bone-stocker, ran a 14.26 & 96 mph, while the lumbering Lincoln ran a 15.25 @ 94.3 mph. So my trap speed was good given the weight & weather (94 degrees ambient, 95% humidity, 130-140 degrees track temp), ET was poor I'd have to say, but thanks for your kind words of support.
Wishing that lumbering Lincoln was "blown & breathing",

Those Accel 300-series systems are getting rave reviews from their owners for the most part, from what we here. Excellent value in terms of ignition system changes.

No, I don't have an accel unit on the Expy. I haven't done anything to it at all yet. I would imagine they have an accel unit for the f150/expys but I haven't tried it yet. Check with Summit racing they sell them pretty affordably.
