Thumbs up Mike T My City Milage

Hi Mike,

I just wanted to let you know that I just got my mileage with the Superchip installed.
This was all city driving with the A/C used 85% of the time. I went 387 miles on 25.1 gallons. I figure it as 15.1 miles per gallon. Pretty good for my 4.6 but I'm sure to 3.08 rear end helps alot. I guess that will change alot when I switch out to 3.55's. I check my chart and @ 55 mph with the 3.55's I'll be taching at about 2256 with 29 inch tires instead of 1250 I am doing now. Just thought you'd like to know

OK, so you got 15.1 in mostly city driving, that's good, thanks for the data. What was your comparable "before" mpg number in that same approximate driving situation, can you say?

Also, how many miles did you have on it with the Superchip when you got that 15.1, was that basically your first tank with the Superchip?

Sorry for so many questions, we just love the data.

Mike,

My truck has 21,000 miles on it and that was my 2nd tank full since I installed the chip. My mileage pre chip was almost 13 miles per gallon.

I will also be going away on the 4th about 150 miles from home to visit relatives. This will be the first highway miles since the chip. My highway miles per gallons was about 16 before the chip. I plan to run the a/c up and no a/c back. I'll let you know what the mileage is.

Hi roaks2764,

OK, so that means you picked up about 2 mpg in the city, that's *very* good.

Hopefully we'll see a similar increase in your highway mileage as well, all else being equal.

Thanks again for your data, that is very helpful for all of us!
