Hi Hwy_2_L,

Yes, this is something we've known about for some time, and is nothing new, other than the fact that this is *only* on 2000 Lightnings, not on 1999 models. You are not going to see any significant number of them come in not set properly, as these vehicles do get driven a bit before loading for transport. You may on occasion see 1 or 2 here and there that are not set for premium fuel from the factory, but that's about it.

Just to give you an idea, if it's not set for premium from the factory, it will be very noticeably slower, and you're going to know right away that something isn't right, it will be noticeably down on power.

So it's only on Lightnings, and even then only on 2000 models, and you generally won't see this except on rare occasion where they have not already set it up for 90 octane.

Even when set on 90 octane, there is still considerable room for improvement, as that is how they are all set when they come into the dyno @ Superchips. We're still picking up 24 horses at the rear wheels even with this setting enabled on the 2K Bolts.
