My superchip get's here tomarrow and I want to install it that day for a road trip I'm taking. so here's the question.
can someone point me to the best page for superchip instalation. ease?pictures?claritiy?

The comp. and black clip is easy enough to find but I might have some trouble finding where to unhook it from the firewall under the hood.

Before you start, I would read all of the recent SuperChip posts. The no-start is the most common problem, one which experienced.
The key is to read the instructions that Mike T. sends you. (I skimmed through them and got in trouble as a result!)

Improper cleaning of the contacts, and possibly bending the CPU mounting bracket to give the chip clearance are the two biggies.
And of course disconnect the battery BEFORE you start!! Actually I've got the 4.6, I had to remove the whole bleepin' battery in order to get the socket wrench in there to disconnect the wiring harness from the computer.

Just make sure you've got a FULL tank of 92 octane before you start, and not the cheap kind you get on Indian reservations, or discount gas stations. That's the problem I've got now. While it does run good at higher RPM's, the cheap gas is causing me some hesitation at WOT.

I read the post and it seemed pretty cut and dry as long as your careful. thanks for the help. I took a look at it and I'll probably have to remove the battery too.

The link that Dragonboy listed to Chris Duke's site, is a good place to take a look at. Also, your Superchip comes with very thorough instructions and documentation that we add in addition to the manufacturer's info, which we urge everyone to read carefully and completely before installation.

It will tell you in very simple easy and precise instructions how to locate and remove your computer, that is very easy to do.

So the instructions are good, and looking at Chris Duke's site will help too, you'll be in good shape, don't worry.
