Post Installed flip chip on Lightning!

Mike Troyer,

I installed my chip last night. I can say I really like it. The rasied shift points are nice, and the truck pulls harder!

One question what is the rev-limiter set to now?

Its nice to feel like the money spent was well worth it!

I realy like my SuperChip as well.
I have AirRaid filter and it seems like a different truck, goes around asking for a little pedal, kind of like a race hourse wanting to run. Thanks SuperChip !

A flip chip is a chip with two programs in one position it is the stock programming and the other is the "performance" program. This allows you to run Regular or premium gas. You can also have "custom" programs so one position can run on 92 or 104.

Dear Neroni,

Nice to "see" you here again.

It surprised me a bit you getting into that Lightning so quickly after having us do the custom programmed Flip Chip for your other vehicle, that's great! I figured it was going to be awhile before you found one you liked, luckily it happened very quickly.

Shoot me an email and I'll give you all the specific numbers on upshift point and rev limiter settings, etc. on your particualr vehicle. There are also numerous protection modes built into the factory program that we do not remove, that will invoke the 4-cylinder shut-down in certain situations. If the transmission fluid reaches a cetain temperature range, it will reduced power to protect the engine, and we do not ever remove those protection measures. There is also a "no-load" rev limiter, set considerably lower than the regular rev limiter, so that the engine cannot exceed a certain rpm. It is active in Park, Neutral, or even if you are spinning the tires very hard in 1st gear, like if you are doing a water burnout for example. We do not alter the no-load rev limiter, as it's a needed protection that makes good sense.

Have fun with your new Lightning,

Hey Dustoff,

I hate it when that happens! What's worse is when it's some really silly tune that gets stuck in your head, going round and round, like some TV commercial or something.
