Post SuperChip question

If I buy a superchip for my basically stock 96 F150 5.0 and then I do minor mods like FIPK, pulleys, headers, exhaust, do I have to get a new Superchip?

Dear Ronn,

No, you will not have to get a new Superchip. The Superchip works just fine with most of the popular bolt-on mods that reduce restriction on both the intake and the exhaust. It's generally only when you do major mechanical modifications to the engine that you have to have a custom program adjustment done.

One of the nice things about the Superchip is that it's a flash design, which means it can always be updated for your vehicle, no matter what modifications you do in the future. If you decide to install a supercharger a year after you get your Superchip, you simply send it back in to us for an update, for a small custom programming fee, thus protecting your investment in the Superchip.

Please feel free to give us a call if you'd like to go over all of this in detail, we're happy to help.

Good luck with your truck!
