Thumbs up Mike T Super Tune!!!!!

MIke
Installed email tune in my truck last night. drove some last night and today cannot believe the performance you nailed the tune this time. ALmost as good as hitting the lottery!!! Every aspect of the tune is pefict, response shifts idle couldent ask for more from a 4.6. Cant wait to find an intercooler, then the truck will be complete.

Just came back from datta loging timing looks great nice even curve untill air charge temp takes over but we can fix that. I will send you datta soon. THanks so much youre the man for a ford tune. I cant say enough how happy I am with this tune.

Hi Chuck,

I've just retuned it as per the better fuel you're now going to be using, basically.

There's a difference in how much power we can safely make using a high-energy 94 octane fuel (Sunoco's Ultra 94, the best pump premium made) versus using say, an "average" 93 octane premium gasoline.

This is an excellent example of the importance of fuel *quality,* which is really why I'm responding - it's not the fact that we have 1 more point of octane, as that gives us very little by itself, all else being equal.

It's the fact that you now have the very best quality pump premium gas with a great BTU (energy) content in the tank - then we can tune it up nicely, and you're seeing & feeling that difference, thanks to much better fuel quality. Fuel quality, fuel quality, fuel quality - the importance of using only the every best quality fuels cannot be overstated, especially in a supercharged application.

Glad you're enjoying it,

speaking of fuel quality, what brands of fuel do you recommend? you mentioned sonocco, but i dont think there are any of those around here. we have phillips 66, amoco/bp,mobil,citgo, and there might be a shell station or two somewhere around here. which would be the best place to buy gas from, as far as energy content?

That is definately good news considering Mike will be tuning my new 4.6 once its done getting assembled and swapped! I will be using the 3 program tuner with email connectivity. Hopefully the dyno shop im going to has internet access, then he might be able to fine tune it while im on the dyno!
