Thumbs up

Oh, and why do you have to use 90 octane when the chip is installed? I use 89 at chevron.
Again, thanks for the Info!

Dear fakefvc,

No, a chip will not void your warranty. You are protected by the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, which makes it *illegal* to void your warranty, or to even deny a warranty claim, just because you have aftermarket parts installed. Feel free to give us a call, and I'll be happy to go over this with you.

And no, the Superchip will not cause any damage to your computer, either short-term or in the long run, or to any other component of your vehicle, as long as it is properly installed, like most parts. There are many Superchip owners who have well over 100,000 miles on their Superchipped vehicles, so you do not have to worry about it shortening the life of your drivetrain. In fact, it tends to help the automatic transmission live longer, due to reduced slippage.

With most quality aftermarket parts, what matters far more is how you operate and maintain the vehicle, rather than what it's potential peak power output is, etc. Take care of your vehicle, and it will last you a long time, using quality parts.

Any performance chip requires the use of premium gasoline, that is how the additional raw engine power is achieved, by tuning specifically for the use of premium gas. One of the by-products of the Superchip is a little bit better gas mileage, when you're not using heavy throttle. Most people report about 1.5 - 2.0 more mpg, and it's just a by-product of the increased spark advance used on part-throttle, something that only the Superchip does for these vehicles.

Feel free to give us a call, and we'll be happy to go over all the details with you, our number is below.
