manual & superchip ?
Hey,
I know a manual and a truck don't mix too well. I also know that the superchip is supposed to maximize gear shifting performance in automatics. So my question to the pros out there is will I see any substantial difference with the superchip and my manual 4.6 V8?

ebsn515,
Welcome to F 150 online! I am sure Mike Troyer will be along shortly to explain all of the benifits, but first research this message board you might find what you are looking for. I myself have a manual v6 and I chipped my truck exactly 1 week ago. It takes a little time for the computer to relaen so you might not feel an immeadiate difference(you were right Mike I did clean all of the contacts). With the chip you will get the horse power gain and in my truck it seems like I gained a tremendous amount of torque. I can already see an improvement in mpg, and 3rd gear has totaly changed. For some reason it feels like when the truck is 3rd it transforms into a beast and tears the road up! It is the best mod you could probally make for a small price.

Dear ebsn515,
Actually, we think manuals & trucks tend to mix very well, it just depends on what your needs are of course. For some, only a manual will do, while others wouldn't think of rowing those big long truck gearshift levers. As long as it serves your purpose, that's all that really matters.
With regards to the Superchip, it works equally well regardless of whether you have an automatic or a manual. The power increase to the engine is the same, that doesn't change with a manual. So yes, you will see a nice increase in power, the 4.6's pick up 26 hp. & 40 lbs./ft. of torque.
Please feel free to give us a call if you'd like to go over this in detail, or if you have other questions.
