Question 'chipping my SuperCrew

Mike,
I've read the gamit on this site about the SuperChips. I have a couple questions before I buy one for my new supercrew:

1-I notice your candid (and respectable) admission to sponsoring this great website; do you have any knowledge of the webmaster deleting unfavorable posts regarding yours or any other product sponsoring the site? (there are NONE out here regarding the chip...NONE!)

2-Has your company investigated the clearances/access of the SuperCrew's computer to accomodate your plug-in? (I realize the drivetrain is the same as 2000, as far as anyone can tell; but is the cab/hood lineup the same so I can follow the great instructions posted here?)

3-Is the 'chip C.A.R.B. certified. I realize they don't visually inspect for it (and I can pull out the module for the smog checks); but if I leave it in, will the car pass (all else being equal?)

Thanks for the great info, if you also have time please look at my questions in the exhaust section re: true duals and backpressure HELPING torque.

Joe

HI Joe,

1.) No, the Webmaster does *not* delete unfavorable posts about the product, he is a very honest person. Besides, the participants here would *instantly* see that, and cry "foul", as they should. So no, this has never been a problem. This is a very large part of exactly what this web site is all about: the exchange of honest, accurate, and relevant information on a wide variety of topics; this is supposed to be the place on the Internet where you can get unbiased information, directly from the very people using the various products for these vehicles. People post exactly what they think here. And *that* is exaclty why we do support this web site, because it is so very important to have a place you can come to get that straight info; not just about chips, but about all the things that people discuss here in all the various sections.

2.) The SuperCrew has it's computer in the same place as all the other 1997 & up F-150's. Or should I say, I haven't seen one with it in a different location, so all the posted installation tips, etc. still apply.

3.) YES! Every Superchip application (other than custom or offroad programs, which will always be labled as such right up front) for these Ford vehicles is in fact CARB certified, under C.A.R.B Exemption Order # D-330-4

I do not have time to check on anything over in the exhaust section right now unfortunately, I only get by there maybe once every couple of months or so. Please feel free to give us a call, and we'll be happy to answer your question(s) about the Superchip or anything else we can help you with.
