As was posted in another thread in this very section, it is "ADS" that has gone out of business. For years, they have preyed on the Superchips name, calling their product a Super Chip, and even naming their web site URL as closely as possible to the *real* Superchips inc.

ADS produced poor products that gave little benefit, and that is why they finally went out of business. They are not affiliated in any way with Superchips Inc., who is the inventor of the power chip concept, and is credited with creating this entire industry.

I used to shake my head when I'd see J.C. Whitney catalogs with ADS chips for as little as $50, and in the end, they couldn't even give them away.

Superchips Inc. is alive and well, is the inventor of this industry, and is the largest aftermarket programming firm in the world today. Their World headquarters are in Bletchley, England, and US facilities located in Longwood, Florida, just 10 minutes north of Orlando.

Anybody know what the deal with superchip is? Check out www.truckperformance.com, they are saying that superchip closed its doors last week and they are removing the products from their stock.

I bought a 88 formula trans am woitha 305 tuned port and a 5-speed 4.10 gears. And it had ads chip in it i took it out the cars went faster it went the fastet with a custom chip from superchip, back when they first came over from england, no one knew who they where but i got my got to go as fast as a 13.6's in the 1/4 not bad for a 3200 lb car and a little 305.


Mike you probly cant say this so i will Superchips kick *** and to ADS they tried to copy a good product by cheating people out of there money well they got there sorry asse's kicked by a great product... Sounds like i work for superchip.. No but i dont mind telling people about a product that does what they say it will. Like burn the tires into second gear , just kidding mike .My truck happens to do it, but my isnt completely stock.

Is that why my truck stopped running this week? The rumors got around the OBDII data path quickly. Just mentioning the possibility that "might be confused with the other company's chip" caused a work stoppage.
I had to upload a copy of my Superchips,Inc reciept into the data port. After that verification, the truck is running again. Talk about fussy machines!
