Cool Mike Troyer, Question?

Mike, I am interested in buying Bob.pelegrino's chip. My question is, I just had my computer replaced. It was a BOJ4 and the new one is a BOJ5. Are these two totaly different programs or is the BOJ5 an update that the superchip for the BOJ4 could be made to work in?
Thanks,
Jeff

Dear JA_Stang86,

No, the BOJ4 Superchip is *not* going to work in a BOJ5 computer. It can be reflashed with the new code, but there is a fee for that because it's a completely different program for a different vehicle, and by the time you pay that fee and for the used Superchip, you could have had a brand new Superchip for the same or less cost.

Buying used Superchips can be a great bargain, and we do encourage the use of used Superchips, but the computer code *has* to be an exact match for it to work, no exceptions ever.

In this case, I guess you could call it "so close, yet so far".

Better luck next time,

Cool

Thanks for the reply Mike. I'll have to keep working on the wife for the full amount.

Kelly, the site must have been down for a while, it is working now. Your site looks good, Nice truck! I need to do some updating to mine.

Dear JA_Stang86,

Sorry about that, the code *was* very close. Bob shouldn't have any trouble moving that BOJ4 Superchip, there are a good number of those BOJ4's out there.
