Mike..I'm not taking it out and no one can make me..LOL! Just the transmission shift improvement is worth it! I can't believe that the power is *right there* when I hit the gas...VERY nice!!

Seriously, a few people have felt that after using it for awhile, that it wasn't doing anything anymore, which of course is impossible. They just got used to it. It's a bit hard to believe, especially in an automatic, as there is so much difference in the shift characteristics, but for some people it's just so smooth that you simply forget about it. And so sometimes they'll take it out for a few days or maybe a week, and put it back in just to remind themselves of the difference it's actually making. And onmce you do that, you don't want to take it out again.

Dustoff, you are killing me I have the same code, and saw the ad for the chip after 2000 posted his note. I wanted to respond to that ad, but had repairs come up on my car, and couldn't drop the cash on the chip. I am blindly jealous, and hope that grin comes off your face soon. You crack me up!

Once you get used to the Superchip, hopefully you will be able to get a bit better gas mileage, instead of worse while you're "superfooting" it. Something makes me think that it just might be awhile in your case, you sound like you're having too much fun. Good for you!

I agree...this is the closest thing to being back in the air for me!! Buzzing the tree tops around 200 mph was a blast!

My fuel economy went out my sliding rear window Friday night. I am actually going to drive our Mazda for a few days..to appreciate the "chip"....LOL!

WEIRDEST THING HAPPENED ON MY 4TH TANK WITH THE SUPERCHIP!!!!!!!!

I have a 98 Expy and my mileage is soooo good now that i have to stop every 100 miles or so AND LET A LITTLE FUEL OUT!

Still VERY happy with the chip! Mileage was improved about 20% in town and about 10% on the highway! Funny numbers but I think its because it requires much less throttle to get the "LAND YACHT" movin!

I can agree on the lead foot. I haven't been able to get any good MPG, but it's the same as before(which = MPG is up)after installing the chip. AND now I have a new exhaust system. MORE torque out of the hole + sounds great!

Hey hdlouie,

I see in your sig. line you list "custom Edelbrock shocks". Are those the IAS shocks? They're fantastic, and one of the best things you can do for the handling of SUV's, etc. Better ride quality while still improving cornering capability, much better handling of larger bumps, etc.

Dear Rand,

You have to stop and let a little out, eh? I think I can safely say that's a first!

Actually, I don't find those results surprising, as due to the fact that the Superchip works *all* the time, you do have to use a little bit less throttle to get the same velocity as you did before the Superchip. I usually tell people not to expect to see much of an improvement in city driving, simply because most people don't use less throttle like you are, but instead use the same throttle and just enjoy the quicker acceleration! Self-control, maybe?

Hey Dustoff,see if you can get better mileage than my bro(he sold you the chip). His mileage was worse even when he babied the pedal. After I let him drive my new Lightning he wants a supercharger. Good luck and enjoy the chip!!!

I don't think I will be able to try for the mileage improvement anytime soon...I'm still playing with the new found power!! Your brother warned me not to have too much fun with it!! I'm doing my best.....

In the not to distant future..I will try to see what my mileage is to see if it does provide any difference. I'll let you know!
