Hi gata119,

The 1715 is a bit different from the 9100 in this regard, in that this actually depends on the vehicle's computer code - sometimes you can just plug the 1715 in and reflash directly to a different tune, or sometimes you have to go back to stock first. The way you'll know is by what options the Micro Tuner allows you when you plug it in, basically - if it only offers you the choice to go back to stock, then you have to do that first - but if it offers you the other tunes directly, then you can do that right away, without having to go back to stock first.

More often than not, you don't have to return to stock first - but there are some codes you do have to return to stock first. The only way to know for sure is to pull the fuel pump fuse, plug it in & see what options it gives you.

Good luck!

1715 Codes

I'm another guy waiting for my 1715 to be delivered, while I was waiting I wanted to look at the diagnostic codes it was capable of reading. Is there a book that comes with it with all the codes or is there a site somewhere on the net where I can find the codes? And if anyone with a 1715 wants to tell me how cool it is and psyche me up go right ahead - I can't wait : )

By the way, the new shift firmenss, how hard can you make it? I want mine to throw me into my seat with every upshift.
