Talking Wierd problem with chip

Well as a past car driver (93 ford tbird 5.0 with chip and other mods) I like to do minor burn outs with the truck just to hear the power roar through the almighty beast.

Anyways sitting at a light i decided to race a probe GT (blah waste of gas) anyways, giving the truck a bit of gas and getting the r's it needed to launch, I then slammed on the gas (wot) wow it hesitated badly! Finally caught up and took off like a bat out of hell.

No my concern is this has happened twice now when i just slam on the gas (WOT). My friends just say ease into it. It sounds like I am flooding the engine with gas and it needs more air (K&N already in place). One person said the Airaid system maybe a good purchase if I plan to slam on the gas (WOT).

Now dont get me wrong.. When I slowly get into it the truck wil still spin up and takeoff like a bat out of hell. Has anyone else had this problem? Any fixes you may think of. thanks for the feedback

Cool

Yep mine does that too. I suspect it may be the winter-mix gas. It is a slower burning mix designed not to freeze in the tanks at the stations. I have to turn radio off and listen as it winds up, starting at 3/4 throttle, and going to the floor as it "catches on." It will still "get up" impressively however, but you just can't floor it from a stop.
Be glad if you don't have my computer code (FOU1) it will also sound like a diesel going to WOT on this crappy gas. Mike has already addressed this issue and will reprogram that code for the winter. I just can't stand the thought of not having my chip for a day or two though. Until a chevy embarrases me, I'll keep it and wait til summer when I can then complain about the heat/humidity "sucking up" my power!!

Couldn't find the right Polished steel design, so once I modify the powercoated ones I just bought, I will paint them.

Q: who wants my "Pocket Mount" chrome ones? Price:cost of shipping, or gas and maybe lunch if you live in S/E MI.

If you've got a tac then run it up to it's torque sweet spot and then launch.

Yeah I was thinking it was the cold dence air that can be causing the problems. I also use heat in my gas to keep it from freezing the lines also. Ill check it out in the summer. If its still bad I will have my friend send it back to SC and get it reprogrammed.

Thanks again!
