Question ATC2 Code ??? For F-150 4x4

Does anyone have a superchip with the code ATC2 5.4l 4x4 Supercab? 2000 model year? Did you notice a lot of performance and other issues? Please post asap. Thanks in advance. Looking at buying a chip with this code.

cobra99,

Mine is a 2000 regular cab 4x2 but I have the same code and have had the superchip in for three weeks now. Works as advertised. BIG difference in shifting. No more annoying delay in downshifting. Runs like a raped ape. I LOVE it. Thanx Mike T.

Dear Cobra 99,

The ATC2 code has been available for some time now, a few months already. It's the most common code for early 2000 model F-150's with the 5.4, so it got done very quickly!

The top speed limiter has already been removed on this code as well, just so you know. Let me know if I can be of assistance!

Just got my new Pirelli Scorpion Zero tires on my new TSW Tracker wheels put on today. Tires are rated for 130 mph so I guess I'll have to go give that top speed limiter a try. LOL

2000regcab54,

I was following behind Neal the HP freak the other day and thought that my truck was a dog, 105MPH top speed with a chip. Turns out that the needle was pegged, up against the stopper. You will have to set your digital odometer to register speed to see if your truck goes past the peg on the speedo. To do so, with key in Off position hold down the reset button and turn key to ON position. Wait till "test" appears in the odometer and then "guage". Turn off Key release button and start truck. When the truck is running you should see "guage" again. Press reset button and release a few times till "eng0000" appears. There are many options tach is one of them. That is your speed in MPH. Note
the odometer is not alfa numerical so they use numbers for letters, like g is 9 etc..

Regards

JMC,

I already read about the digital speedo on Neal's other thread. Tried it out. Neat stuff. Thanx for the info anyway. Don't know if I got enough nerve to take her up to 120's. Hate to see THAT ticket.

Dear 2000regcab54,

Hey, congrats on those new Pirelli's! Let us know how you like them as you accumulate some miles.

And be careful if you do try a top-end run!!

2000regcab54,

At 120 mph I believe you'll get more than a ticket, a straighjacket and maybe 30 days...or the rest of your life in Community Service.

Of course, they probably couldn't deal with Neal in community service for that long, bad influence and they'd have everyone's engine and chassis apart doin' mods.
