I just installed the Chip in my 2000 F150. Mmm Mmmm nice. But just as a note, the computer was sitting in a metal pan which has the edges upturned about 1/4 in to prevent the computer from moving. The Superchip, when installed, sits on this ledge preventing the holding clip from being installed and lets the computer case fall out and hang on the wire harness. Be prepared to bent the metal lip with some pliers and a lot of cussin'. I just wanted to let you know since I've never read about this problem on this list yet.

Ya and be carefull on my truck a 1999 there is something sharp under there. Not exactly sure where or what, but I sliced my finger open a little.

This is a good point for folks to remember. I removed mine in my 97 to work on it. Though it was easier. I will do the same thing for this one. I also ground the chip to clear the flashing on the PCM. I had this one out to preclean the contacts and the flashing was not as bad. This time I will grind the flashing and not the chip.
