Chip or 9100 tuner?
Chip or 9100 tuner?
For mods I have a Air Force One intake, electric fans, ASP under drive pulley, Spintech exhaust, ported and polished upper intake, and a TB spacer. And possibly a set of MAC headers. What will just a regular performance chip burnt for 93 octane, and a 9100 tuner get me?I know we talked over the phone Mike and agreed on a price for each, just trying to get some opinions here as to witch way to go.
Hi Orange,
Nice to see you again!
Every time I see your beautiful orange truck, I think about your friend's truck (at least, I think you know that guy, from a conversation some time ago) that was in MM&FF a while back that was color-changed to orange. That's just too cool.
Glad to see you've decided on the 9100 with our custom tuning - you'll love it.

the predator does the same thing but is isn't custom to your pcm code!
Hi mjbumpy4,
You've got your facts a bit mixed up, I'm afraid - the 9100 is NOT a "chip" - it's a flash device, sames as the Predator in that regard - it reflashes the PCM's internal ROM chip.
So no, it is not true that the Predator is more "warranty friendly" than a 9100 Micro Tuner - that's not true at all.
You can read about the 9100 on our web site over at www.TroyerPerformance.com - click on "Shop" once the home page loads, then go into the Superchips Custom Tuning section and read up on our Part# 9100 for "the basics."
The way to really learn the facts and details you need to know is to call us, as we mentioned in the other thread. You'll be amazed by what you learn in talking with us, not only the actual facts about the product, but what goes into the actual tuning inside as compared to others, etc.
