How to Order your New Superchip
To place your order for a Superchip for your vehicle, and get our exclusive F150online discount that we offer, simply contact us via email or phone. We will have an online order form here in the future, as soon as our Webmaster can get it set up. In the meantime, here's how to order:
1. For 97 & later F-150's, including the new Lightning, first locate your vehicle's computer code. This will be printed on a sticker in the passenger side door frame, just below the door hinges. It is usually 3 letters and a number, and will never be longer than 4 digits. This is also the default code sticker location for Ford passenger cars. Then simply contact us with your code!
2. For '97 & later Super Duty trucks, V-10's, Powerstroke diesels, etc., your code sticker is in the driver's side door frame, just below the door hinges. Again, you're looking for 3 letters and a number.
3. For 1996 & earlier F-series trucks, the computer code will be on a sticker on the computer (always on all Fords), as well as on a sticker on the wiring harness itself, which is easier to find. Look under the hood for the wiring harness, on the driver's side down low. The computer is in the driver's side kick panel, behind the aluminum plate that the emergency brake pedal is mounted to.
4. Anyone who is registered for the message boards is eligible for our F150online discount, and this applies to any vehicle, whether it's a Ford truck or a Mercedes 600.
Once you have your vehicle's unique computer code, we can supply you with the appropriate Superchip. Superchips for Fords carry a Lifetime guarantee to the original owner.
We wish everyone well,

There is no specific minimum number of miles, which is why the first thing I do with all our vehicles is to Superchip them, usually before they even leave the dealer's lot!
That being said, I think it's a good idea in the Lightning if you get the first 500 miles on it before installing the Superchip, just to get everything broken in and seated, etc. The first 500 miles come pretty quickly for everyone, and that's what I recommend. You can order it anytime, and install it when you get 500 miles on it.
Feel free to contact me for greater details, etc.

What's worse is once you get it, install it, and your truck won't start. Then you have another period of waiting while SuperChips fixes your computer.
Be patient. I had mine almost a month before I could even use it...

Hi Conqsoft!
Well, luckily this open-jumper situation has only affected a very small number of 1999 Fords, and, it's easily taken care of. Superchips does the work the same day their receive the computer, and overnights it back out free of charge, so that vehicle downtime is limited to less than 48 hrs. Actually, about 60% of those affected are doing the work themselves, or having the jumper connected locally, so only 40% of those affected have taken Superchips up on their offer to do it free. A simple drop of solder is all it takes on the vast majority of them, others take 2 drops.
It's very easy to get this taken care of on the few vehicles that have been affected. So far that total is up to about 70 or so 1999 Fords of various types.
I'm glad to see you're up and running!

DonMarsee, when I ordered my UPS sent in on a road trip around the country. I was impatient and monitored it's progress on the web. I knew when it got to my town and I knew when the UPS guy makes delivery into my neighborhood so I was prepared when I saw him coming. A came out my from door with all due haste and he saw me coming and dropped the chip on the ground. I don't know what he thought I was going to do but I scooped it up and signed for it and he left thinking 'I wonder what was in that package!' :-)

Even after mine arrived I had to wait! I had to burn most of the 89 octane out. Then we went to visit family a couple hours away. So Sunday night (afterdark with my trusty flashlight) it took about 2 1/2 hours including the one "false start."
But, good things come to those who wait!

Yo! Mike
Got "THE CHIP" today. Now to find time to
"do it". btw, is the "no start" problem
related to the computer jumpers missing?
I thought info to correct that problem was
covered in the instructions???

Hi Rick,
Welcome to F150online!
Yes, the so-called "no-start" is related to incorrect jumper configuration on the circuit board, that is exactly correct. It happened due to Ford's supplier not doing their job correctly, it has *nothing* to do with the Superchip. Included with your Superchip is a white card that tells you to contact Superchips directly for instructions and options, so that answer is included, this goes out with every single Ford Superchip, even though it only relates to a few 1999 Fords, they all get it, so if you order a Superchip for an 86 Escort, you still get that card.
What is *not* included are the diagrams of the jumper locations for the 2 basic different designs of circuit boards, that is only provided to those who want to do the work themselves or have it done locally, upon request. This is offered when you call Superchips as per the white instruction card that has the toll-free number to Superchips on it. Or, I can FAX that over to you, which ever is more convenient for you. Superchips offers to do this work, and to overnight the computer back, free of charge, or, they will send you the diagrams so you can see which jumper(s) to close with a drop of solder. Sometimes people need that info over the weekend, so I got Superchips to send it to me, so I could FAX that jumper info out directly from here. (No, we're not open weekends, but I do check my voice mail in case there are "emergencies" that I need to respond to over the weekend at some point) We have had your code be affected by this, so don't be surprised. Some were affected, and some were not, and you just cannot predict this, unfortunately. Luckily, it's an easy fix, so either contact Superchips @ 888-227-2447, or you can call me if you'd like me to FAX you the diagrams after hours.
Enjoy your new Superchip,
