Post Superchips & Super Ford Magazine

The latest issue has an aritcle about chips and computers used on 5.0 engines. Looks like Superchips got the best remarks.

Well in all the years I have been using SuperChips I have never been lead wrong. So I Dont doubt it one bit. The Biggest and most important thing I liked about the superchips is that it saves gas and fixes a lot of the tuned down BS that the factory does.

Dear TEllenberger,

I haven't seen the issue yet, guess I'll have to get a copy! This is pretty typical for what happens when most of the Ford-specific magazines review performance chips. It's usually been due to the fact that they work on both part-throttle as well as full-throttle, that's a huge difference in everyday driveability. For example, in the last (I *think* it was the last one, Oct. 97 if memory serves?)MM&FF article about chips, they said the Superchip was the only one they could actually feel in the seat of the pants.

Tuning at all throttle positions makes a big difference, and not having to use gimmicks like abnormally cold thermostats is icing on the cake.

I guess I better read that article before I comment on it! Thanks for letting us know, TEllenberger!
