Are there any specs for the Y2K V10 and the chip?

If you mean the 2000 V-10 coming out this fall, a Superchip cannot be made for a vehicle until the vehicle actually exists. So far, all the V-10's installed in both the trucks and in the big vans have responded the same with the Superchip, and the gains are 29 horsepower and 55 lbs./ft. of torque. We won't know what happens with any of this fall's new vehicles until they actually exist, and we get our hands on them. We have to wait until the vehicle is built, and then do the R&D and reverse engineering on each application.

I hope this information helps,

The 2000 do exist and they are out, so I hope to see some specs soon. I have heard a lot of good things about these chips and would like to get a head start on the decision of getting one.

Thanks

Brandon is right, they do exist. I saw two 2000 Superdutys last week at my dealer and both of them had a V-10 in them.

Ahh, I had assumed you meant something coming this fall. Anything that is out now, we probably already have a Superchip for, we'll just need the computer code of the vehicle. We've been making chips for the V-10's in everything you can get them in, the Super Duty trucks as well as the vans, etc.

The automakers have been playing games with model year designations on some vehicles, so I will sometimes be proven wrong on that count, it wouldn't be the first time! Then again, changeover happens in July on some assembly lines, so I guess it is time to see the earliest 2000 models after all, isn't it? What matters is the vehicle's computer code; if you can get me a code, then I can let you know the exact details.

Mike T. Do you make chips for the Diesel?? Reason I ask is because I make the very bad mistake of test driving one today. It was a 2000superduty 250 Diesel 6speed. It just came off the delivery truck and was still in the back lot. They let me drive it around the lot. I'd forgotten what a "tight" clutch felt like. Popped the sucker out twice but managed to keep it running. It was funny, I looked like a newby driver. But then the salesman, when he was moving it, popped it so hard it stalled. I didn't feel so bad then So do you have chips for the diesel and if so what are it's advantages. Thanks

Tina,

I believe Superchips does along with a few other companies. Check out ford-diesel.com for more info. Diesels love mods. They can make enormous power.

Just FYI for the people who may not know this, the new 2000 Superduty V-10 produces 310 horsepower vs. the 1999 V-10 that "only" had 275.

Well, Tina the superchip adds 50hp and 100 ft-lb torque. Thats alot. Get a Banks Powerpack or Stinger or whatever and they add over 75hp and 250ft-lbs!

Hi Tina,

Yes, we make the chip for the Powerstroke diesel, and the gains are 50 hp and 100 lbs./ft. of torque for the 99 & later Powerstroke. It's a turbocharged and intercooled engine, so it can make a *lot* more power. With the Superchip, you've got 600 lbs./ft. of torque on tap! Superchips also guarantees the powerstroke diesel Superchip to add a minimum of 3-4 more mpg as well, so it's one of their best applications.

I'd imagine that 6-speed did have a stiff clutch in it! It's probably a massive unit, no doubt.

To Brandon, and to ALL:

Ijust checked with Steve Madole at Superchips, and he tells me that they are almost finished with the 2000 Powerstroke diesel, and we can take orders for it now. We just need the computer code from the vehicle. Steve says the programs look very similar to the 99's, so the gains should be comparable.

As far as the 2000 V-10, they haven't had any at the Superchips facility yet, so they haven't done any work on it yet. All they need is a vehicle, so they can get a look at the program, etc., just like every new model year.

And that's the status of both applications as of this minute!

Our bests to all,
