Thumbs up Took it out and put it back in.

I recently pulled my superchip out after it had wiggled loose and caused my engine to kill. I was on my way to DisneyWorld and it was 1 am and I was on the side of the road. I didn't want to fool with it anymore. Well I drove without it for about 8 days and then yesterday I put it back in and secured it with tape. WOW. What a feeling I was missing. My V6 moves up the onramp to the interstate like it was going down hill. If you have the time take your chip out for a few days and then put it back in. You'll ba amazed at the difference in performance that you have gotten used to.

Dear Logan,

That is exactly what we tell people. Sometimes we'll get someone who says they can't feel the Superchip anymore, after noticing a very nice difference immediately after installing it, and it's just because they have gotten used to it, that's all. We tell them to take it out for a week, and then put it back in. And then they react just like you did, and re-realize just how much the Superchip is doing for them.

Say, what did your Cobra CB set you back, and have you had it "peaked?"

Enjoy,

Dear Topsy,

You'll notice it when you put it back in, just like you did the first time.

Have fun,

Talking

I got the Cobra CB off ebay for $145 but it has a Connex echo board in it. I think I am going to sell it and get a Galaxy Pluto. I hear those are about as close to the best as you can get.

Cool

I had the totally different experience. I have a '97 F-150 EC 4x4, 4.6L, and ran the Superchip for a few weeks. WHen I installed it, I noticed a nice improvement. WHen I removed it, I couldn't tell any difference, which I found surprising.

Hey Logan,

I hear the same thing, that the Galaxy is supposed to be a great radio, and then some people swear by the Cobra over the Galaxy. Heck, I'm using a tiny little Uniden, that's all that will fit in my car, so either one would be a *huge* step up for me. I'm getting 17 watts out of it an OK modulation, so it suits my needs. If I had a big F-150, I'd have room for a nice radio like yours!
