Rally at Milan Mich. Mike?
Mike, seeing how you are partially responsible for about 10000 or more extra Horsepower we all are enjoying, it would be so cool to meet you in person. I'm sure you've seen cloakers great idea for a rally at Milan Michigan. Sept.18 .
Just a thought!!!

Hi Pat!
Yes, one of our F150online members was kind enough to call me the other day to inform me of the event. I'd love to go, but I can't make it. There are so many requests for us/me to be places in person that I would like to start doing maybe a couple "events" a year. Heck, I'd be doing good just to make SEMA every year, let alone anywhere else!
My wife's grandfather (Charlie) turns 89 on the 18th of September, and we're having a big family "do". So unfortunately that date is out. But we're determined to make *something* happen this year, in terms of some kind of event for F150online members, we'll just have to see how it all pans out.

Dear Tina,
Unfortunately, no, I don't have any idea. I have not been able to communicate with Steve about any dates yet. Steve has been swamped with work; he's been returning emails, and right now he's working on our online ordering form, and I need to get him some logo stuff to make the banner ad look attractive, so it's not like we're not communucating at all. It's just that we need to get this together over the phone, and his schedule is so subject to change, that it makes it really tough to get the scheduling worked out with Steve for the Chip Shootout in Orlando.
I think we might want to take a look at doing another event even sooner, perhaps like we were talking about before for us East Coast members, where we would get together in the Virginia Beach/Norfolk area, and try to work in the tour of the South Norfolk truck plant, etc.
What are your thoughts?I know you're in North Carolina, like a lot other F150online members are, and for those of us in the Mid-Atlantic, a Norfolk "rally" would make a lot of sense, which is the basic conclusion we all came to before, but we were then talking about a Summer 2000 timeframe.
I'd say we need to decide just what we're gonna do, and do it. Perhaps we need to just go ahead and get together, and have some fun, meet some members, drink some beers, lay some rubber, and if and when Steve can participate for the Chip Shootout, then I can make that happen down the road.
Then again, your mileage may vary.(YMMV)

Mike, if something can be made to happen while it's still basicly warm outside (not winter) I think that would be great. Also a Friday meet could be worked out, I think Sat. would be better though. You would need to find out if we could tour the plant on Sat. If not then it would have to be Friday. If things can't be worked out till spring/summer 2000 then so be it. At least those of us with kids could plan a mini vacation without taking the kids out of school
But the sooner you and Steve come up with dates the better for the rest of us to plan on being there.
Oh yea, if you're throwing the BBQ on the grill, just yell a date, and I'm sure a bunch of us here will drop by
Just thinking about a room full of people talking nothing but trucks...my kind of language...can't wait

Okay, I'm from the 'left coast' and I'll make the trip out east on two conditions; first, Mike has to be there and second, Mike has to be there. While touring a factory would be great and meeting fellow F150online members would be great - Getting back together with Mike after 28 years would be awesome!!!
Waiting on you Mike.....

OK folks, TColegrove is a "spoiler", he's my old high school buddy, one of very few around from those days. So we could talk him into just about anything, almost.
For Tina and the rest of us, OK, let me do some checking, and get back to you. I'd like to do something *this* year. We deserve a break *today*.

I was serious when I said I'd come out east for an F150online get-together. Forgive me though if I leave my Effie at home and fly in instead. Wanna give me a ride in your Mark VIII Mike?
