Post Fast 4.9?

The only other mod that I can reasonably think of is going to be a Superchip! How do you guys/gals think that this truck would compare to the new V-6? The only thing hurting me is my gear ratio at 2.73 and the hole in my pocket! Any opinions (positive of course) are greatly appreciated! Thanks

Neal

You'll do well- in a pulling contest. However, I don't think you can beat the V6 in a speed race. That extremely long stroke that gives you all the torque also keeps the engine from really running fast.

Are you MAF or MAP? If MAP, maybe you can find a MAF conversion kit. I personally haven't seen one for the 4.9, but it may exist? You have the greatest pulling engine ever mass produced. I hope they bring it back. My favorite truck was an '80 w/300, 4 speed (granny tranny), 4x4. In 4LO & 1st gear, that thing would pull an entire neighborhood of houses!

hey 94 Let me know how the Jacobs and Superchip work together. It sounds like a winning combo.

94',

Your Ford makes about 185-190hp with the mods you put down. Stock, it makes 145hp. With the mods, it makes about 290lb-ft torque, or less.
