Unhappy Respect Fading

I have been reading and posting to this forum and a couple of others since I bought my Screw in 2002. I have gained alot of information and made numerous mods to my truck thanks to the many projects that others have completed and reported on here. I have a N/A 4.6L in my 2002 Screw 2WD that thanks to many mods runs really well now. I couldn't have done it without some of the great help I have found on this board.

However, it is geeting shameful that so many post currently, especially in this forum and a couple of others seem to turn into an argument or bashing session. There is no one on this board that knows everything about every situation, but a few who think that they do. It is ok to give your opinion, but don't bash someone else just because they have a different one. What usually happens in a community like this is that the most knowledgable individuals finally get tired of putting up with all the dumb crap and quit sharing the information that they acquire. When this happens, the site becomes worthless and/or soon dies.

The above is my opinion and I am sure that there are a few different ones out there.

Cool

Guys, I understand where you are coming from but just remember. This website is really no different than life itself, you will have up and downs and good and bad threads. Yes, there is some bickering but sometimes people just don't see what is going on in the conversation. It just has to be explained a different way OR hell, they might be having a bad day. We all have them, some are just better at deciding what is the correct course of action.

02Crewman, welcome to the board.

Stick around and you will see that there are numerous people that can help with just about anything that you have a question for and if they don't then there is someone that knows where to go to get that answer.

Have Fun & Keep on Truckin'
Dean

There's never been a group of men together since cave men that didn't get in a pissing match. Grow a thick skin and focus on the positive aspects of it.

Message boards can be tough some times. Any one, from any walk of life, with what ever level of intelligence can post. We have no way of knowing if someone is credible or not, untill they do something stupid.

Some poeple think they are right about everything. Some poeple, like me for instance, always leave it that they think this is the way it is, but may not be. It's up to us to take all this information, sift though it and come to our own conclusions.

It's too bad that some people feel the need to bash. Even if someone is blatenly wrong about something that is common knowlege, it seem to me that a more productive way of handeling the situation would be to try to show the person the way it is so that they know the next time. This has been done for me many times and I have eagerly leaned a lot.

I registered here a few years ago. I'm still here today. There are plenty of people here that make a visit to this site a pleasant one. Like any where in life there will always be a few bad apples in the bunch. Just don't eat the bad apples.

In the few years that I've been a member of this site, I have gained a lot of respect for a lot of people. It feels good to know that there are this many good people out there in this world; and they like to converse about their trucks.
