Little confused about the custom tune. Can you get more power out of the 1715 with the truck stock and certain computer codes, or is a custom tune just for moded trucks?

Yes, even in a bone-stock vehicle we can get more power & performance gain by doing our in-depth custom tuning as compared to what the 1715 delivers. The 1715 certainly does a fine job, to be sure.

But there is *always* more power and performance to be had by having us do the in-depth custom tuning.

Now what we generally advise for someone trying to decide whether to get the 1715 or to have us do a custom tune in the 9100 is to give us a call with their truck's computer code, and I can look inside the program & let you know just how "bad" your factory code is - there are some, perhaps 1/3 or so of these vehicles, where we'll "only" gain about 8 HP more over the 1715 by doing the custom tuning, whereas in most of these trucks, we can get another 15+ HP or even more over what the 1715 will gain.

The bottom line is we can *always* get more power gain and a better performance improvement by doing the custom tuning - that will always be true.
